We had a little scare for the second time over the weekend. Turns out that due to decreased oxygen capacity which derives from the pulmonary stenosis, Carissa has breath holding spells. She took a spill on Sunday and bumped her little head which in turn startled her. She starts in one of those cries that you have to blow in their face to get them out of but she never comes out of it. She continues to scream until she runs herself out of breath and then goes limp and passes out due to lack of oxygen. Once she passes out her involuntary reflexes take over and she begins to breath normally again. This is a very scary thing to witness because her eyes never close, her lips turn blue and she goes completely limp. The doc's say that she'll grow out of it when she gets a little more control over her reactions but until then continue to call paramedics "just in case" she doesn't start breathing again right away. We go on the 30th of march to have an MRI of her heart so they can better determine treatment for her stenosis. They want to get a better picture of what they are dealing with. Hopefully we won't have any more spells and the MRI will show good things. I will update everyone a little later.

We will definitely have Carissa and your whole family in our prayers... What a sweet little girl!!!
What a sweetie, thank goodness she is OK. We continue to pray for your family, too. Love the recent pictures.
That would absolutely scare me breathless. My thoughts and prayers are with YOU and with my cutie pa-tootie niece.
Okay, first: HOLY SCARY, Carissa!! Poor thing! We'll keep praying that things go well, especially with the MRI coming up!
Second thing: NAKED BABIES ARE SO CUTE!!!!! I love that picture!
Hey, how's Carissa doing? Haven't heard anything in a while... and how are the boys doing? Anymore fights?!?!
Hmmm....this blog needs to be updated! WE MISS YOU GUYS!!!!!!! Let us know how things are in TN!!! We love you all (okay, Carissa and Kendra are our faves...) Just kidding!
Hey out there... We missed you all at the family reunion. When you get your shirts, please be sure to take a picture to email out to all of us. I'm definitely not the person who should be telling you this since I'm pretty pathetic at it myself, but a blog update or at least a family email would be nice. We're all wondering how Carissa and the boys are, how your summer's been, yada yada yada. My boys and I (along with the bun in the oven) should now be heading to Georgia in early November, but as with anything else that involves the Army, everything is subject to change at any moment. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see you before too much longer. Love you...
